Bradenton Kiwanis Club member Bill Edwards warmly greeted the members of the Kiwanis Club of Tampa at the Tampa Club's 98th anniversary luncheon held on June 21st. Bill spoke about the Tampa Club chartering the Bradenton Kiwanis Club in 1922. He also updated the Tampa members on Bradenton projects and programs impacting the community. Bill presented the Tampa Club President, Amanda Malinowski,with several gifts including a Christmas in August tee shirt. Also attending were Bradenton Kiwanis Club members Diana Davis, Angie Edwards, Roland Emerton and Brenda Rogers.

Rae Dowling, one of the area’s most electric community leaders, has been recognized with the first Bradenton Kiwanis Foundation Bert South Philanthropic Award by the Bradenton Kiwanis Foundation. The award was presented at Bradenton Kiwanis luncheon on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Kiwanis Hall at the Manatee Performing Arts Center.

The Kiwanis Foundation established the Bert South Philanthropic Award to recognize and to honor an individual, family or group who best reflects the Foundation’s philanthropic values. Bert South was a forty-year Bradenton Kiwanis Club...
